THE LOCATION
The event is held in the scenic coastal town of Platja D’Aro on the Costa Brava, just a one hour drive north of Barcelona. The town has a beautiful natural setting in a delightful seafront location with a seemingly endless beach. The resort offers all year round facilities, making it one of the main destinations of the Costa Brava, and one of the most popular of the whole Mediterranean.
Platja D’Aro provides an exciting atmosphere for the event and will help make the IFAM an unforgettable experience.
Traveling to Platja D’Aro
Platja D’Aro is a convenient location close to Barcelona’s major international airport, Josep Tardellas, Barcelona – El Prat, and even closer to Girona’s international airport, Girona – Costa Brava. Platja D’Aro is accessible by regular bus services from both Girona and Barcelona. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel plans, the cost of which is not included in the registration fee.
Participants may wish to arrive the night before the event begins for comfort, or can arrive on the morning of the first day as the event does not begin until the afternoon.
Staying in Platja D’Aro
Platja D’Aro offers a wide variety of options for accommodation from which participants have free choice to plan their stay. The IFAM has a special collaboration with three hotels that offer our participants special discounted prices for their stay during the competition. At varying prices, these hotels offer affordable and comfortable options for everyone. The promotional code is provided to participants upon registration.
It is the participants’ responsibility to book their own accommodation – accommodation is not included in the registration fee.
