IFAM Group S.L. is a limited liability company (sociedad limitada) incorporated in Spain with its formal address at Ed. Eurocenter, illa II, local 52, 17250 Platja d’Aro (C.I.F.: B44780666).

IFAM Group S.L.’s purpose is to organise and host an annual mooting competition based on football law for university students and sports law enthusiasts. The competition runs over multiple months where written documents are submitted by participants, and finally, an in-person event is held to concluded the competition. These activities will jointly be referred to as IFAM Activities.

In order to provide information, register, process any requests and facilitate communication and organisation before, during and after IFAM Activities we need to acquire and process some of your personal data.

This GDPR Policy will explain how our organisation uses the personal data we collect from you.

What data do we collect?

Our organisation collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number).

  • University or institution of the participant (and information relating to other eligibility criteria listed on the website in order to ensure compliance with competition rules). 

  • The Data Collector will not collect and process special categories of data (“sensitive data”) such as those revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation. However, to ensure the safety of participants some special categories of data will need to be collected and processed (e.g.: food allergies in case of lunches/dinners organised during the IFAM Activities, medical conditions or disabilities of the participant that need to be taken into account to ensure safe participation in the IFAM Activities, etc.). By providing such special categories of data the participant explicitly consents to their processing by the Data Collector, exclusively for the purposes and to the extent that this is necessary to ensure safe participation in IFAM Activities.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide our organisation with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process   data when you:

  • Register online or subscribe to our newsletter.

  • Contact us with any questions or requests of information.

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

Mandatory or facultative nature of data

The personal data that is provided to the Data Controller falls under two categories – mandatory (where refusal of provision of data renders impossible any requested information or services, where such data is necessary for execution of obligations of the Data Controller) and facultative (where processing of data is based on consent which a participant can revoke at any time and exercise their rights listed below). 

How do we use your data?

Our organisation collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your registration to the competition.

  • Send you newsletters that you have voluntarily signed up for.

  • Respond to any requests of information you made.

To this end, it is necessary for your data to be processed so that the IFAM Activities can be carried out, to which participants have voluntarily registered to/requested information from. Processing is also necessary to comply with legal obligations to which the Data Controller is subject to (such as issuing and keeping records of invoices). 

IFAM Group S.L. does not transfer personal data to third countries (territories outside the European Union).  

How do we process your data?

Our organisation processes your data in automated and non-automated manners for the purposes laid out above. This is done for efficiency of data handling. No discriminatory processes are employed.

It should be recalled that anything that a participant transmits or provides online may be collected and used by third parties or illegally intercepted by third parties. No data transmission over the Internet can be considered 100% secure. The Data Controller undertakes to use reasonable means to protect the personal data of the persons concerned but cannot guarantee the total security of the information they exchange.

How do we store your data?

Our organisation securely stores your data. All data is kept strictly for the time period necessary to carry out IFAM Activities

  • Personal Data is stored for the duration of the competition and the consequent six (6) months in order to be able to carry out the IFAM Activities and then to get in touch with a participant regarding any prize they may have won as a consequence and/or to provide them with individual scores and feedback acquired during the competition. 

  • Personal Data may be stored for as long as required by any legal requirement upon the IFAM Group S.L. to comply with national law. 

  • Personal Data such as email addresses may be kept for as long as the participant does not revoke consent (e.g. in situations such as receiving the newsletter)

  • Personal Data processed on the basis of the legitimate interest of the Data Controller: for as long as such legitimate interest persists, except where such interest is overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data.

What are your data protection rights?

Our organisation would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights.  Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to accessYou have the right to request our organisation for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service where it is reasonable to do so.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that our organisation correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request our organisation to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure — You have the right to request that our organisation erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that our organisation restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our organisation’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that our organisation transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any   of these rights, please contact the Data Controller via the provided channels above.
